BRANDON McBRYDE^ 6-0, 205, 4.8, of Springdale
Shiloh Christian, AR - McBryde is young
defensive player who never stops hustling and he has his
motor in continuous fast-speed. On film, he is the
"big-play" defensive player who makes the saving tackle or
the tackle behind the line of scrimmage. He does not have
blazing speed, but with his motor always in fast motion, he
just makes huge play after another. He does have a 4.3
clocking in the pro-agility shuttle and although his 4.8 in
the forty is not track speed, his great shuttle time proves
that he has great quickness and he really takes advantage of
that quickness asset. I really like this kid and his
tremendous work ethic. I think that he could play for a lot
of people at the next level. He carries a fine 3.03 GPA and
he has already scored a 26 on his ACT
Test. McBryde recorded 117 tackles as a
junior, had six sacks, 21 quarterback hurries, and he led
his team with 16 tackles for a loss. He also plays
basketball and baseball. He also has outstanding leadership
skills. His early interests included Tulsa, Arkansas, North
Texas, SMU, and Arkansas State. "We've been told by Mount Union
College that they have a
place on their team for Brandon," said his
dad Bryan McBryde.
Since D-3 schools can't offer athletic scholarships, I'm not
sure how formal the offer was, but it would be a thrill to
play for a team with 8 National Championships in the last 13
years, no matter what division their in." |

Skills
& Attributes |
Brandon is a special athlete, football player and person. He
possesses good speed, and has great lateral quickness, strength and work
ethic. In addition to being extremely talented, he is driven to excel
and puts in the time and effort to accomplish his goals and is a very
coachable player. His extra
time spent studying game films is evident in his play on the field and
he has a 6th sense at locating the ball. With his blocking
ability, frame structure, quickness and good hands, his ability to shun
bigger blockers is uncanny. These skills would also make him a
good candidate for Tight End in a different offensive scheme. He
loves the contact aspect of the game and the bigger the collision, the
better he likes it. Brandon has a passion and desire to play college football. He is
willing to showcase his talents at a
variety of football camps and combines and he never backs down from a
challenge on the field. Brandon plays with a fearless determination
to win, great enthusiasm and is willing to do whatever he can to help his team
succeed. This is shown by his playing a variety of positions
during each game. He moved his Junior year from his strength
position (LB) to the defensive line (DE) in order to help the team at
it's weak point and led the team in solo tackles and was 2nd on the team
in total tackles. He is a hard worker
and loves being a part of the team. Off the field, Brandon works hard by doing the extra work
it takes to play college football. His extra time spent studying
game films is evident in his play on the field. Even though he plays basketball
and baseball, he continues to work hard in the weight room every day
during those seasons. He will positively impact
the university that he attends, and will make immediate contributions to
the football program. Brandon has a wonderful personality and is
definitely a people person. |
